Your Plans May Change

Isn’t it Ironic that the days that we have everything planned out are the days that things go unexpectedly?  I have had days that I plan it out, and then, BAM!

from the very beginning something goes wrong, or maybe it just goes differently than I expected.  For me it was just a reminder that sometimes I don’t really know what is going to happen and I feel better if I can just go with what is happening.

I think that God likes to keep us remembering that, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” (Proverbs 16:9).  We may think we have a better way, but sometimes those interruptions and changes to our day are really blessings from a loving Father.

Live today ready for a change of plans,

  1. Hmmmm! Grandma and I have experienced a bit of God changing our plans recently, too! Like a friend of ours says, ” There is always something….!” Life in Christ is full of challenges. That is how He shapes us into His own special people.

    Love you,

  2. Dearest Anna, these words bring to mind an experience I had Sunday. I was scheduled with a few events and while on my way to the next event I stopped at a grocery store. When I returned to my truck, it wouldn’t start. I called David, called my mechanic and then called a tow truck. The question my Roadside Assistance asked was, “was this due to an accident or an act of God?” I googled and said, “Yes, an act of God! He needed me here, not there.” I was able to spend time in prayer. How timely is your post.
